When La Casa Ristorante first opened its doors on March 10, 1994, proprietor Syl Basacco had already done his homework by studying and copying many of our Mom’s recipes from back home in Ceprano, Italy. Some of these recipes are still on our menu today, along with many other delicious dishes our talented chefs have created over the years.

Using only top quality ingredients at the peak of their freshness, our chefs have created a menu which combines many of our favourite signature dishes with many new and exciting flavours and aromas. Our seasonally updated lunch and dinner menus blend classic, traditional Italian dishes from the small town of Ceprano with more contemporary and diverse Mediterranean, and also Canadian, influences.

APPETIZERS

ROMA BRUSCHETTA
Served on sourdough crostini, diced roma tomato, garlic, fresh basil and shaved parmesan.

CHOICE OF SOUP **
A choice between our house made minestrone with fresh pasta, or our ever changing Zuppa del Giorno (soup of the day)

PEAR AND PARMESAN**
Crisp boston and frisee lettuce, spiced pecans and roasted pear with a house made honey and thyme vinaigrette.

LA CASA SALAD **
A variety of mixed greens with diced tomatoes, radish, shredded carrots, cucumber and shaved red onion tossed in a sweet tomato vinaigrette

ENTREES

SALMON DELLA CASA **
Pan seared and served with herb roasted fingerling potatoes, sauteed seasonal vegetables and finished with a creamy lemon and dill beurre blanc.

PENNE PICANTE
Blackened beef, kalamata olives. Capres, roma tomato in a spicy tomato sauce.

CHICKEN CARBONARA
Fresh, house made fettuccine pasta,sauteed chicken, pancetta, caramelized onions in a parmesan cream sauce.

VEAL PEPERONATA **
A tender grilled veal chop, served with pan seared polenta sauteed garlic rapini with a sweet and tangy peperonata ragu.

LASAGNA FORNO
Moms original recipe: Twice baked with juicy plum tomato sauce, tender ground beef and veal, creamy ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese.

RISOTTO PRIMAVERA **
Sweet green peas, caramelized onions, julienne zucchini, cherry tomatoes, toasted sunflower seeds with an arugula pesto and creamy arborio rice.

DESSERTS

CREME BRULEE **
A smooth baked custard accompanied with seasonal berries and glazed sugar garnish.

GELATO TASTER **
A mixture of creamy vanilla and chocolate gelato topped with seasonal berries and candied orange peel.

TIRAMISU
Espresso soaked lady fingers,rich mascarpone cheese and shaved chocolate.

SORBET TASTER **
A mix of our raspberry and mango Sorbet topped with fresh seasonal berries.
